Saint Louis University Workforce Center is dedicated to providing our students with the tools you need to achieve your professional goals, and it can be hard to articulate your skills in a series of bullet points on a resume.
That’s why we partnered with Credly to provide you with a web-enabled, verifiable version of your credential through its badging platform. The Credly platform celebrates the accomplishments of our students as they complete Certificate Programs and Certification Bootcamps at the Center and offers tools to earners for sharing their badges and showing the alignment between skills earned and market insights and data. We have partnered with Credly to translate the learning outcomes you have demonstrated into a digital badge. The technology Credly uses is based on the Open Badge Standards maintained by IMS Global. This enables you to manage, share and verify your competencies digitally.
Representing your skills as a badge gives you a way to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted and can be easily verified in real time. Badges provide employers and peers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and what you’re now capable of. Credly also offers labor market insights, based on your skills.
Because the Workforce Center is an important contributor to professional development, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to display the skills you learn with us. Currently, students will receive a badge when they complete a Certificate or Certification bootcamp with the Workforce Center. Emails issuing digital badges to our students will be sent from admin@credly.com
You can share your badge directly from the Credly Platform to LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook; over email; embedded in a website or in your email signature.
No, SLU's Workforce Center will not issue badges for Certificates or Certification bootcamps completed before January 1, 2018.
If you do not want your badge to be visible to the public, you can make them private. In fact, you may simply disregard the digital badge e-mail if you do not wish to participate in the program. The Workforce Center takes very seriously the importance of putting you in control of your badges. All information regarding your badges can be configured within Credly's system.
No, there is no fee to use the Credly Platform. Managing and sharing badges is free, and account set-up is easy.
No, you must use the email address that the digital badge email was sent to when creating your account on Acclaim.
